Gabled Semi Detached Velux Loft Conversion

If you have a gable end semi -detached property with good apex height within the roof space then a Velux conversion may suit your requirements. This style of conversion is largely governed by the apex height within the roof space but in some cases can provide a good sized master bedroom with shower room facility. This style of conversion is the most cost efficient way of providing additional living accommodation. Velux window installations can be joined and configured to form large expanses of glazed areas and are commonly configured in this way to make the most of attractive views or to increase natural daylight within the new accommodation. Introducing a flat roof dormer to this style of property will provide increased full walking height and floor area within the conversion and provide plenty of design options for installing an en-suite shower room facility.

Semi-Detached Single Gabled Dormer Loft conversion

Most Semi-detached properties will require a side elevation dormer installation which provides the necessary height required to install the new staircase rising to the new accommodation. The new winding staircase is then designed to rise over the existing lower stair flight within the new dormer structure which then maximises the room dimensions within the loft conversion and avoids losing any valuable floor space from the first floor living accommodation. If you have good apex height within the roof space then it is possible for this style of loft conversion to provide a good sized master bedroom with en-suit shower room facility.

A double dormer conversion is the most common type loft conversion we carry out on Semi-detached properties in Bristol. This provides a gabled dormer to the side elevation with flat roof dormer to the rear. The design provides increased height within the conversion and as such you then have plenty of design options for the internal layout. This type of conversion can provide a master bedroom with shower room facility or even a two bedroom conversion with separate shower room.

If you have good apex height within the roof space then you will have increased design options for the external appearance of dormer structures. This design is often used if the external appearance of the loft conversion is a priority for the client but they still wish to maximise the internal floor area within the new accommodation. This design still maintains some of the character of the original roof structure and provides plenty of design options for configuring the internal accommodation.

This type of loft conversion is commonly known as a linked wrap around dormer conversion as the rear dormer is linked with the side elevation dormer maximising the internal floor area within the conversion whilst maintaining the soffit, guttering and rainwater pipes to the side elevation.

This loft conversion design converts the roof structure from what is a traditional hip end semi-detached to a gable end and provides a little more width within the new accommodation. The soffits and guttering are completely removed from the side elevation.
